If it is a quality directory to cache will be updated more often meaning your site on that particular web directory will have more chance of being viewed by people searching for your keywords.
Find out about the links that the web directory that you are looking at will offer you. If it is a really good quality web directory then it will give you direct links back to your website or your business. If it is not a quality web directory and does not offer you a direct link to your website or business, then you will not benefit from having your website in this particular web directory.
Before you put your website pages into a web directory, have a look around the site first. If it is a well presented and thought out web directory then you have probably found a good long lasting web directory. The last thing you want to do is put all the effort in to putting your website onto a directory that no one looks at anyway!
Also another good point is to look at the other websites that are on the web directory you are looking at. Make sure the websites that are featured on the web directory are of a decent quality. If they are not then the chances are that your thinking of using a web directory that is not monitored and maintained. You need to find a quality web directory that is run professionally and regularly updated. Serious visitors and potential customers are more likely to look at really good and trustworthy web directories. |
